View-EQ is an MDI product that seeks to embrace system 1 thinking and look beyond consumers’ stated behaviours. It leverages Facial Emotional Recognition to map the key emotions on consumers’ faces – both at a baseline neutral level, and then during reactions to stimulus, or during expressive conversation.
View EQ takes advantage of the camera that consumers carry in their pocket, and through the MDI mobile app it allows presentation of stimulus (e.g., a new ad or new concept images), capturing consumers’ reactions as they watch the stimulus, or talk about their responses to it.
MDI embraces in-situ video capture – at-home product and sensory testing, along with self-ethnography tasks – these videos can then be processed through the View EQ software to provide an additional, subconscious layer of analysis.
